Changes to mask guidelines
I was very excited to read the new guidance from the CDC regarding face masks, because it means I get to start seeing some of my clients’ smiling faces again! The new guidance states (in part): If you’ve been fully vaccinated, you can gather indoors with fully vaccinated people without wearing a mask.
For those of you who are already fully vaccinated against COVID, that means your mask is now optional during your massage. (I received my second dose of the Moderna vaccine on February 11th.)
If you do wish to go mask-less, I will ask to see your vaccination card, and at least two weeks must have passed since your final vaccination. You will still be required to wear a mask to enter Jade’s Salon, as it will only be optional while we are in the massage treatment room.
Over the past year I’ve gotten very comfortable wearing a mask while doing massage, so even if you are vaccinated and choose to take your mask off, I am happy to keep mine on if you are more comfortable that way.
In case you’d like to read the full update from the CDC on what fully vaccinated people can and can’t do, here’s a link to the guidance they released on March 8th: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html
